Power Groove Rockers Tubefreeks were formed from the ashes of such groups as STP, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, and Aerosmith. "We just blend it all together and make our sound into a psychedelic, hard, power packed metal kind of thing" asserts the enigmatic fronting freek Paul van Valkenburgh. Tubefreeks music is assuredly heavy, vividly exciting, and ultimately groovin', fueled by guitarist Shawn Vickers' fluid, sometimes psychotic, and always compelling leads and the dynamic, pulsing rhythms of bassist Mike Stehr and drummer Geoff Burrell. Throw in the unique vocal styling of van Valkenburgh in the strange brew and the resulting concoction is rock solid originality.
